Students transitioning to secondary school must follow the enrolment process that applies to their individual circumstances.
Depending on whether your child currently attends a government or independent primary school, different documentation and processes apply.
- To determine whether your child resides within the Brunswick Secondary College School Zone, follow this link – Find My School.
- Please refer to the matrix below regarding enrolment paperwork, Proof or Residence documentation and processes required for different circumstances
- If you require further information, please visit the Department of Education’s useful website page – Moving from primary to secondary school: information for parents and carers.
If your child is currently enrolled in Grade 6 at a government primary school, all application documentation is issued and processed via their primary school’s Transition Coordinator. The primary school will distribute paperwork directly to Grade 6 students, and will advise parents/carers a date by which enrolment paperwork must be returned.
